Laser-cut metal parts and sheet profiles
Laser cutting enquiries can cover plates, panels, covers, brackets and blanks that need further forming or assembly. Send a DXF or DWG profile with a dimensioned PDF drawing. Identify holes, slots, edge requirements and features that must align with mating components. The drawing and material determine the cutting route, usable sheet size and thickness acceptance.

Steel, stainless steel and other sheet materials
Specify the exact material rather than only “metal” or “steel.” Mild-steel, stainless-steel and aluminium sheet enquiries need the grade, thickness, supply condition and final finish. Tell us whether you supply the material or need it sourced. Material suitability, stock and process capacity are checked for the requirement before quotation.
Bending and forming after laser cutting
A cut blank and a finished bent part need different information. Include both the flat pattern and the formed-part drawing, with bend direction, inside radius, flange lengths and final dimensions. Tooling access and nearby holes affect the forming plan. If you only have a model, share it with the drawing so the flat-pattern and forming requirements can be reviewed.
Welded structures, fabrication and assembly
For frames, fabricated structures and assemblies, send weld type and size, joint details, mating components and controlled final dimensions. Identify distortion-sensitive faces, alignment and mounting points, and any machining after welding. Painting, coating or specialist finishing can be coordinated around the finished assembly.

Finish, inspection and quotation
Specify coating or surface treatment, appearance requirements, masked areas and dimensions that apply after finishing. Include governing weld, NDT or coating-test requirements where applicable. A useful RFQ combines PDF drawings, DXF/DWG profiles or a model with grade, thickness, quantity, finish, inspection scope and destination. If replacing an existing part, add photographs and explain how it fits.

Can I request laser cutting without bending or welding?
Yes. State that you need cut profiles only, and send the material, thickness, DXF/DWG profile, dimensioned drawing and quantity. Cutting feasibility and any edge-finishing requirement are reviewed before quotation.
What files do you need for sheet-metal laser cutting?
Send a DXF or DWG profile and a dimensioned PDF drawing. For a formed part or assembly, also include the formed drawing or model, bend and weld details, and the required final finish.
What sheet thickness can you laser cut?
Send the grade, thickness and overall profile size for a capacity check. Thickness acceptance depends on the material and cutting requirement; an unconfirmed universal maximum is not quoted on this page.
